Description

Fred Haise Signed Apollo 13 Damaged Service Module Color Photo, with Added Comments. A 10" x 8" silk finish photo on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Supreme paper signed in silver felt tip: "Our closeup view of our damaged Apollo 13 Service Module!/ Fred Haise 4-17-70/ LMP". Only our second offering as signed. Excellent.

Haise played a critical role in the crew's survival after an oxygen tank explosion crippled the spacecraft's Service Module on April 13, 1970. The blast severely damaged the module's power and life-support systems, forcing the crew to use the Lunar Module as a lifeboat. Haise's skill and calm under pressure were vital in conserving resources and guiding the crippled spacecraft safely back to Earth.
