Description

M. P. Shiel. The Yellow Danger. New York: R. F. Fenno& Company, 1899.

First edition. Number 61 of Fenno's Select Series. Twelvemo. 388 pages.

Original pictorial wraps. Cover slightly soiled with fade lines, especially on the back cover. A few creases to the covers and very small areas of loss at the head and foot of the spine. Contents toned with areas of "waviness" to the top right corners throughout the text block (possibly since binding). Very good. An incredibly racist Victorian novel that pits Europeans against the "Yellow Peril". From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.
