After the death of Edgar Rice Burroughs in 1950, several writers attempted to publish unauthorized Tarzan pastiches. ERB, Inc., took swift legal action to pull these off the market and order them destroyed. This five-volume series, by the pseudonymous "Barton Werper," is a fully authorized, notable exception.
