Octavo, pp. [1-4] 5-13 [14-18] 19-219 [220-224: blank] [note: last two leaves are blanks], original decorated black cloth, front panel stamped in blind, spine panel stamped in gold, top edge stained gray, fore-edge untrimmed, cream endpapers. Bookplate of collector Jack Price affixed to front paste-down. A fine copy in nearly fine dust jacket (with four stills from the Warner Bros. film of "The Beast With Five Fingers" on rear panel) with minor wear, mainly at upper spine end and along upper edge of front panel. A very attractive copy.More Information:
Collects twenty of the author's uncanny tales selected from Midnight House (1910), The Beast with Five Fingers (1928), and Moods and Tenses (1933).
