William Faulkner. Mirrors of Chartres Street. [Minneapolis: Faulkner Studies, 1953]. First edition, limited to 1,000 copies, of which this is number 68. Octavo. 93 pages. Publisher's tan cloth and dust jacket with $3.25 price. Endpapers with binder's glue stains to pastedowns. Some chipping along edges of jacket. Generally very good.Stories and sketches written during the six months in 1925 that Faulkner lived in New Orleans. His earliest work, collected from the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
