Fred Haise Signed Large Apollo 13 Color Photo of Earth, with Added Comments mentioning Neil Armstrong. A 16" x 20" silk finish photo on Kodak Endura paper of the planet Earth, signed in gold felt tip: "Neil & I both served as NASA test pilots before joining the Astronaut Program! Was happy to see Neil get to be the first to land!/ Fred Haise/ Apollo 13 LMP". A mid-course explosion scrubbed Apollo 13's lunar landing; the crew used the Lunar Module Aquarius as a "lifeboat" on the perilous journey around the moon and safely back to Earth. Very desirable as signed, our first offering. A couple minor dents, very fine.Haise's reflection on shared test-pilot roots with Neil Armstrong offers an uncommon, first-person perspective connecting two of NASA's most storied aviators. Coupled with the dramatic legacy of Apollo 13, the piece embodies both the camaraderie and peril of the Apollo program, giving it enduring historical weight.
