Mercury-Redstone 3 (Freedom 7): Twelve Vintage Glossy Finish Photos of Flight Director Chris Kraft at Mercury Control Center During Flight, from the Personal Archives of NASA Legend Bill Taub. Twelve generally 8" x 10" B&W images of Kraft as he monitors Alan Shepard's historic flight. Images show a contemplative Kraft during what must have been a very intense launch and fifteen minute flight. One image has a crease along bottom left corner, otherwise excellent to very fine.NOTE: The photos from this archive were the inspiration for the recent book by J. L. Pickering and John Bisney, Photographing America's First Astronauts, Project Mercury Through the Lens of Bill Taub. A beautiful book from the Purdue University Press. Highly recommended.
