Buzz Aldrin Signed Ranger VIII Launch Cover. A philatelic cover bearing a pictorial cachet of the launch of the second successful mission in the Ranger program. It has been canceled at Cape Canaveral, Florida, on February 17, 1965. To the right of the cachet Aldrin has signed in blue ink: "Buzz Aldrin". The Ranger program was crucial in photographing the lunar surface to help identify potential landing sites for the Apollo program. Aldrin would later be one of the first two men to land on the Moon on June 20, 1969. Age related toning, fine.
