Confederate Soldier With Canteen 1/9 Plate Tintype. A beautiful hand-tinted image of an unidentified soldier in uniform with his militia style canteen. The canteen's carrying strap can be clearly seen slung over his shoulder. The soldier appears to be wearing a depot jacket and a hat based on a Federal pattern. There is nothing depicted in the image which would lead to an easy identification of the soldier's regiment or state. The image is sharp and crisp. Very good condition, very fine qualityAuction Info
