A terrific, personal letter signed August 3, 1932 with very significant content, when FDR was still Governor of New York and the Democratic candidate for President, one page, to Frank C. Walker, obtained from Walker's estate. FDR writes: "My dear Frank:/ This will introduce Mr. George St. Jean, an old friend of mine who is anxious to be of assistance to you in your work. He desires an opportunity to go over the entire matter with you./ Sincerely yours,/ Franklin D. Roosevelt." This letter shows FDR's close connections with Frank C. Walker from his earliest days as a national Democratic candidate, and is nicely related (as an early example) to the many other FDR/Walker letters that are part of this FDR Collection.
