Five Images of Union General Irwin McDowell. He is best known as the general on the losing end of the first battle of the Civil War, Bull Run [1st Manassas]. Had it not been for a breach of security, he likely would have won. Includes: two engraved cartes de visite by Dexter of New York, an unmarked vignetted pose CDV in mint condition, an 1861 Appleton CDV with gold ruled borders and a Bradley & Rulofson cabinet card dated 1891 on the verso.
