Description
Pair of Elastolin Castle Sets. Both Elastolin and Lineol made several variations on the medieval castle theme. These appear to most closely conform to the Elastolin versions. Both examples measure approximately 16.5" x 12" x 13". Each is constructed on a wooden base, which has a hinged door to presumably store the removable turrets and the figures that were sold to go with each castle. They have been constructed out of sculpted plaster with artfully painted details. Each has a working drawbridge. Given their age and scale, both examples remain in very good condition, exhibiting a few cracks and worn spots.Auction Info
