Description

Piece of Japanese Aircraft Shot Down At Pearl Harbor 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of aircraft fabric painted red and silver, one side scorched. Accompanying the fabric a 6" X 9" letter with "U.S.Navy / Civilian Housing Area 3./
Honolulu, Hawaii" letterhead. Inscribed in blue ink "Piece of Jap plane shot down Dec 7 1941. / Cut from plane by me Dec 9" (Signed) "Bob Wilson". Top left corner above a palm tree motif the word "Save!". Letter in excellent condition, folded. Fabric also folded, losses to paint. Fine relic of one of history's pivotal events.
