Description
Exquisite Gold Civil War ID Badge for " Capt. / C. D. Champion / Co. E / 4th E. T. Cav. / War of 1861" Shield shaped with T-bar pin back, just 3/4" X 1", perfect condition. Charles D. Champion enlisted as a Captain in the 4th Tennessee Cavalry (East Tennessee) US, on 2/10/63 and served with the unit until muster out on 7/12/65. The unit was on the move, and engaged in small unit actions, throughout their term of service, losing 25 men killed and mortally wounded. A very rare and desirable Civil War ID badge.Auction Info
