Description

EGYPT. Coptic Period, circa 500-700 CE. Wooden comb. Rectangular in shape, 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) long, with coarse teeth along one side and fine along the other. A few teeth broken, otherwise intact. An interesting item of ancient personal hygiene.

From The Living Torah Museum Collection; ex Michael Kaufman Collection, acquired by private donation.
