Description

Apollo 12 Lunar Module Flown Large Size American Flag on a Signed Presentation Mat Directly from the Family Collection of Mission Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon, with Signed Certificate of Authenticity. An 11.25" x 8" cloth U.S. flag and a 4" diameter unflown embroidered quarantine crew patch by Dallas Cap & Emblem mounted on a 14" x 18" mat above a label that reads: "Sailed With Yankee Clipper/ And Intrepid To The Ocean of Storms/ November 1969". Beneath is the pencil signature: "Dick Gordon". Perfect for display due to the larger size. Not common. Light soiling to the mat and minor glue bleedthrough on the edges of the flag that does not detract. Very fine.

Included with this lot is a signed COA from Gordon that reads, in full: "This American Flag was flown aboard Yankee Clipper To the Ocean of Storms, November 14-24, 1969. It is from my personal collection."
