Description
Neil Armstrong's Childhood Remington Arms Co. Rolling Block Rifle, circa 1900, Directly from the Collection of His Niece Ellen. Used by the young Neil and his brother Dean on the family farm. Serial no. 122050, .22 caliber, 22½-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal carbine buttplate. Gifted by Dean Armstrong to his daughter Ellen. A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included with this lot. Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of age, handling wear, and surface rust. Heavy scuffs, dings, and bruising present to wood. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore.
