Description

John Glenn Signed Color Photo with Mercury-Atlas 6 (Friendship 7) Twentieth Anniversary Cancellation. An 8" x 10" heavyweight page with his Mercury launch photo and a helmeted portrait, signed boldly in black felt tip. At lower right are 4¢ "Project Mercury" and 18¢ "Benefitting Mankind" (Space Shuttle) stamps cancelled at Cape Canaveral on February 20, 1982. Of course, Glenn went on to fly on Shuttle mission STS-95. First of these we have encountered. Very fine.
