Apollo Astronauts: Original Unflown Custom Earmold Collection for Sixteen Different Apollo-Flown Astronauts. An intriguing collection from the estate of Gordon L. Bisel, a hearing aid distributor in Houston, Texas, who was commissioned by NASA in the early 1960s to take impressions of the Apollo astronauts' ears, and then fabricate custom left/right earpieces. Offered here are the sets that he retained in his stock, with his numbers, for the following astronauts. All still in original packaging. Most are left/right pairs. Very fine.Seven moonwalkers included here. Alan Bean (65807, 65808), Charles Duke (65809, 65810), Don Eisele (65811, 65812), Ronald Evans (65813, 65814), Fred Haise (65815, 65816), James Irwin (65817, 65818), James Lovell (65819 65820), Edgar Mitchell (65821- left ear only), Stuart Roosa (65823, 65824), Harrison Jack Schmitt (65825, 65826), Rusty Schweikart (65827- left ear only), Dave Scott (65828, 65829), Thomas Stafford (65830, 65831, 65832- two lefts, one right), Jack Swigert (65833, 65834), Al Worden (65835, 65836), and John Young (65837, 65838, 65839- two lefts, one right).
