Description

U.S. Model 1861 Remington "New Model" Army Percussion Revolver. Serial no. 46553, .44 caliber, 8-inch octagonal barrel with correct address. Blued finish. Brass triggerguard. M, H, and C inspector stamps. Varnished walnut grips with OWA and GRC inspector cartouches [see Flayderman 5E-011, page 137]. Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 5-10% finish, primarily in protected areas, the remainder with rich, plum brown age patina. Grips with light wear, minor shrinkage and scattered dents and blemishes. Action tight and crisp.
