Apollo 11: Paul Calle Original Signed Color Pencil Drawing of
Neil Armstrong "First Step" on the Moon on a Large "First Man On
The Moon" First Day Cover, from the Calle Family Collection. A
9.5" x 6.25" white envelope bearing a C76 10¢ Airmail stamp with
the dual "Moon Landing/ Jul 20 1969" and "Washington, DC Sep 9
1969" machine cancellation. This amazing drawing is essentially
identical to Calle's design for the stamp and covers 2/3 of the
cover's surface. It is pencil-signed at right: "Paul Calle".
A stunning piece original art from this master space artist and
stamp designer. Excellent.
