Apollo 11 Flown American Flag Certified and Signed by Buzz Aldrin on His Signed Certificate with His Letter of Authenticity, Originally from His Personal Collection, in Framed Display. A fabulous highly-provenanced piece. A 6.25" x 4" U.S. flag signed on the lowest white stripe in blue ink: "Flown on Apollo XI Buzz Aldrin". This flag is mounted to the standard 9.5" x 11.75" (sight size) Apollo 11 flag certificate, also signed: "Buzz Aldrin". Included in the presentation is a typed letter on Aldrin's letter head, as follows: "To Whom It May Concern: This is to certify that this flag was flown aboard the Apollo XI mission to the moon and that it is from my personal collection and genuine in all respects. Sincerely, [signed] Buzz Aldrin." Handsomely double matted and framed to an overall 23" x 15". A perfect display piece and relic from this landmark mission. Excellent.Auction Info
