Ex. Richard Gordon
Rolex 18K President Watch as Presented to Richard Gordon, circa
1969, Directly from the Gordon Family Trust, with Certificate of
Authenticity. A beautiful 18K gold President automatic watch in
running order with a fluted bezel and a champagne dial with day &
date, stick hour markings, and luminous hands. The Model number is
1803 and the Serial number is 2038922, weight is 71.9 dwt (gross)
and the clasp type is hidden. The case back is engraved:
"Richard Gordon 11/14-24/69 Apollo XII". This was presented
to Apollo 12 Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon shortly after this
successful second manned lunar landing mission. He wore it for many
years and upon his passing in November 2017, it became property of
the Gordon Family Trust who is now offering it through our auction.
This is a rare opportunity to own a perfectly-provenanced astronaut
watch; included with the lot is a Certificate of Authenticity
signed by his son and estate trustee Lawrence Gordon, CAPT, USN
(ret). Also included is a color photo of Gordon (with Alan Bean)
wearing this watch at a Spacefest function. The condition is fair
due to the fact that it was worn for many years. Don't miss this
