Apollo 14 Flown Iowa State Flag Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Lunar Module Pilot Edgar Mitchell, with Signed LOA. This 6" x 4" Iowa flag flew to the moon aboard Apollo 14, January 31-February 9, 1971, with crewmembers Alan Shepard, Stuart Roosa, and Ed Mitchell.

Included with this lot is a signed Letter of Authenticity on his personal letterhead stating, in part: "This letter is to certify that the accompanying 'State of Iowa' Flag (4" x 6") was carried into lunar orbit aboard the Command Module Kittyhawk on the Apollo 14 mission to the Fra Mauro Highlands January 31, 1971 to February 9, 1971. It was in lunar orbit for 67 hours." Very fine.
