Description

Ex. Alan Bean

Apollo-Soyuz Test Project: Group of Six Unflown Space Food Items, Directly from the Family Collection of Mission Backup Commander Alan Bean, with Signed Certificate of Authenticity. An amazingly large group of space food items originating in the Soviet Union, some with English labels. These were retained by Bean as Backup Commander of the American crew. The lot consists of: (1) a 6.75" x 2.5" empty tube of Raspberry Puree; (2) a similar tube of Chicken Puree; (3) another similar tube of Black Currant Juice; (4) package labeled in Russian, translates to Prunes with Nuts; (5) another package in Russian, Onboard Rations; and (6) a double-sealed package in Russian, Borodinsky Bread (rye). Great additions to your ASTP or Space Food displays. All are in very good condition.

Included with this lot is a COA on Alan Bean's letterhead signed by daughter and Estate Executor Amy Sue Bean stating that these items were Bean's property as he traveled and trained with the two crews, and was given to her by Alan Bean prior to his death.
