Description

Gemini 10 Flown MS63 Sterling Fliteline Medallion Directly from the Personal Collection of Michael Collins, CAG Certified. This 25mm medal was flown aboard Gemini 10, July 18-21, 1966, with crewmembers Michael Collins and John Young. The obverse depicts the mission insignia, a large Roman numeral "X" with both Gemini spacecraft and Agena target vehicle orbiting it and two stars, with the crew surnames above and below. The reverse has the flight name and dates engraved in block letters. Ironically, the silver Fliteline medallions are considered more rare than the gold colored gilt versions. This was Michael Collins' first spaceflight; he would later fly to the moon as the command module pilot on Apollo 11. Sealed in a numbered archival holder, CAG 2092309-002. Excellent.
