Flown on both of Michael Collins' space missions

Apollo 11 and Gemini 10 Flown Largest Size American Flag, Signed and Certified by Michael Collins, Directly from His Personal Collection, CAG Certified and Encapsulated. A 17.5" x 11.5" silk U.S. flag with red stitching around the edges. This incredibly rare and desirable flag, the largest size typically flown by Apollo missions, traveled first on Gemini 10, July 18-21, 1966, and then to the moon with Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing, July 16-24, 1969. It was then kept as a treasured souvenir by Mission Command Module Pilot Michael Collins. This would be equally at home in an institution or as the centerpiece of an advanced private collection. Flattened folds from storage, bright and fresh as new. CAG 3000025-002.

Signed directly on the flag in black ink: "Carried aboard Gemini X. a world altitude record in 1966, and to the moon on the first lunar landing, Apollo XI, July 1969. Michael Collins Gemini X PILOT, APOLLO XI CMP"
