Description
Gemini 12 Flown Heat Shield Plug in Capsule-Shaped Display. A segment of heat shield, approximately 0.75" square x 1.75" long in acrylic and mounted to a 6" x 7.25" x 0.75" wooden base (overall height is 5.25"). On the acrylic is printed: "Heat Shield of Gemini #12/ From Jim Lovell/ Total Time in Space/ 425-11-17/ Buzz Aldrin/ E.V.A. Time/ 5-37/ Nov. 11-15/ 1966". This was the last of the Gemini flights with two very popular astronauts aboard. This was the second mission for the legendary James Lovell and the first for future Apollo 11 Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin. Very fine.Auction Info
