Air Force Astronaut Wings Plaque Presented to Charlie Duke,
Directly from His Personal Collection. A large 32" x 17.5"
wooden plaque bearing a metal Air Force Astronaut Badge of 27.5" x
12.5". Beneath is an engraved plaque: "Lt. Col. Charles M. Duke Jr/
Apollo 16 1972". The Air Force awarded wings to those who flew
above the altitude of fifty miles. A great displayable piece for
collectors of both military and spaceflight material. Included with
this lot is a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Charlie Duke.
Very fine.
