II. (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1953). A later printing
hardcover with dust jacket absent. Signed on the full title page
"To Bruce McCandless II/ With best wishes from/ Charles A.
Lindbergh". This book tells the complete story of Lindbergh's
legendary 1927 non-stop flight from New York to Paris aboard the
single-engine monoplane Spirit of St. Louis. A fabulous
juxtaposition of early aviation history with modern space
technology. This association copy is worthy of the finest of
aviation or space collections. It appears that a portion of the
dustjacket has been adhered to front endpaper with small piece of
tape. 562 pages, octavo, fine.
