Gettysburg Battlefield: Five Pieces of Wood with Embedded Civil War Bullets. The group includes; piece of tree approximately 3" X 1 1/2" with embedded teat base carbine bullet; approximately 2" X 8" piece of tree with unidentified large caliber bullet embedded; 3 1/2" X 5" wedge shaped piece of likely a fence rail with Williams cleaner bullet embedded. Small old paper tag on the end with ink numeral 11; 1 3/4" X 1 3/4" piece of likely a fence rail, with unidentified short, large caliber, conical base bullet embedded; 2 1/8" X 8" piece of black walnut which is faceted and actually looks like a period tent pole but likely a fence rail, with two three ring .58 caliber bullets embedded. Great group.
