Description

Woman's Suffrage: Votes for Women Spinner or Whirl-a-Gig. This is the third and last example of a suffrage spinner from the Corbeil collection. It is unusual in that the spinner includes the tin outline of a fish and includes the words "Votes for Women". This example is complete with flag and reads "Victory 1915". Because these spinners were played with by children, and because cloth flags at the top of these pieces were so fragile, most flags have not survived. It is highly unusual to find a complete specimen such as this. A great item for either the toy or the suffrage collector.
