Description
Jacqueline Kennedy and John Jr.: JFK Funeral Mass Card, JFK Jr. Note "Signed," and Envelope Addressed by Jackie. Three items: (1) A 3.5" x 4.5" black-bordered card with a head and shoulders portrait of JFK on the front with a one line prayer and quotes from his inaugural address on the verso. These were given out at Saint Matthew's Cathedral on the occasion of Kennedy's funeral mass, November 25, 1963; (2) A 5" x 3.5" black-bordered note card is included with young John-John's best attempt at writing Mr. Foster a note; (3) The black-bordered original envelope for these two items, hand-addressed by Jackie to "Mr Robert Foster" with a return address on the flap, "JFK jr/ 1040 5th Ave/ N.Y.C." Sadly, JFK's funeral fell on John Jr.'s third birthday. Fine condition. From the collection of retired Secret Service agent Robert Foster.Auction Info
