Description

Revolutionary War Era Powder Horn Identified to Isaac Fisk, 2nd Regiment New York Artillery, 1778. 13" overall with wooden base held by small tacks. Decoratively engrailed with concentric rings near the spout with additional engrailing and vertical lines carved on the throat. The horn is lightly carved with a city view of Albany and Mont Royal and Fisk's identification is carved in three lines "Isaac Fisk / 2nd Regt. NY / Arty 1778". Retains the wooden plug and a wire loop lanyard ring in the base. Very good condition.
