Francis Crick Signature with Maurice HF Wilkins Signature and James D. Watson Signature. Group of three signatures relating to scientists involved in the structuring of the DNA double helix. Includes:

Francis Crick Signature. One page, 6" x 4", no place; no date. Signed, "Francis Crick." Signed on the back of a lined notecard. Small piece of tape affixed to the top recto. Pencil notation to verso.

Maurice HF Wilkins Signature. One page, 5" x 3", no place; no date. Signed, "MHF Wilkins." Very minor spot of damage from tape removal to top recto. Pencil notation to verso.

James D. Watson Signature. One page, 5" x 3", no place; no date. Signed, "James D. Watson." Small piece of tape affixed to the top recto. Pencil notation to verso.

In 1962, Dr. Francis Harry Compton Crick (1916-2004), Dr. James Dewey Watson (1928) and Dr. Maurice Hugh Frederick Wilkins (1916-2004) received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for "...their discoveries concerning the molecular structure of nucleic acids and its significance for information transfer in living material." It was a discovery that launched a scientific revolution and forever changed man's understanding of life.
