Description

Warren Harding Signed and Inscribed Print. One black-and-white print, 10 x 14 inches (sight), no place, no date. Inscribed to Ambassador Henry P. Fletcher, Harding writes, "With much confidence and warmest personal regards." Signed, "Warren G. Harding." Fletcher was a notable diplomat who served the U.S. government in a number of roles. Fletcher served as the Ambassador to Mexico before being appointed Under Secretary of State by President Harding in 1921. He held that position for just one year before Harding appointed him Ambassador to Belgium. From there, Fletcher continued on to Luxembourg and Italy. Matted and framed to an overall size of 15 ½ x 20 ½ inches. A portion of the backing from the original frame has been affixed to the current backing.

Condition: Lightly toned throughout. Not examined outside of the frame. Frame lightly scuffed.
