Hilory G. Bedford. Texas Indian Troubles. Benjamin, Texas: Hargraves Printing Co., Inc., 1905. 8vo. Publisher's light green cloth with title and design in black and red. Comprising forty-three true stories of Indian troubles on the Texas frontier. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper in full: "I was checked in as agent at Vineyard Tex. April 1st, 1907. Hilory Bedford was staying with a daughter at the Wells or old town. I purchased this book from him. He was then 67 years old."

Condition: Wear to boards with rubbing, soiling, and scuffing. Small hole above Texas on front board. Front and rear hinges reinforced with archival tissue. Title page also reinforced with archival tissue along right margin on verso. Toning to text block with multiple pencil annotations throughout. Paper is brittle with chipping to edges throughout. Additional prior ownership inscription and book plate on front pastedown.
