Description

Claude Debussy Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 4 ¼ x 5 ¾ inches (sight); "10 rue Gustave Dore;" "Thursday." A letter in French to an unknown correspondent thanking him for a note published in L'Art Moderne. He adds, "I hope that my next trip to Brussels will give me the opportunity to offer [my thanks] in person and get to know you better." Signed, "Claude Debussy" and adding his address below. Debussy lived at 10 rue Gustave Dore from 1893 until 1898 so this letter likely dates from that period. Matted and framed with portrait of the composer to an overall size of 15 x 11 ¾ inches.

Condition: A single mail fold at center.
