Description

George Clinton Document Signed as Governor of New York. One page, 11 3/4 x 8 3/8 inches(sight); In Council of Revision, [New York]; April 5, 1803. A resolution to pass a series of bills into law. In part: "An act to organize the Militia of this State... An act to raise money to build a Bridge across the Genesee River... An act relative to the Salt Springs in the Count of Onondaga... An act to incorporate the Montgomery Bridge Company... An act to alter the time of holding Town meetings in the different towns in the county of Montgomery... An act for the relief of John Pope and others... should respectively become Laws of this state." Signed, "Geo. Clinton." Matted and framed with an engraving of Clinton and plaque, to an overall size of 23 3/4 x 23 1/4 inches. Not examined out of frame.

Condition: Flattened folds and light toning. Stray ink spattering below date, not affecting text. Frame is in good condition with scuffs and worn edges.
