Four quarto volumes. Latin text. Color and black and white full page illustrations, chapter head illustrated vignettes, ornamental head- and tail-pieces, decorated initials, music scores, text in black and red, each page double columns in red frame. The three breviaries are uniformly bound with envelope style endpapers at the back, holding printed verses and responses for each service. Very good.

Larger missal with different covers in a similar binding style, no envelope at back. Contemporary red leather with gilt decorated illustrations on covers and gilt titles on spines, all edges gilt, gilt dentelles, patterned endpapers, multiple reading ribbons, cloth page tabs. Small "M" ink stamp on each title page, Missale Romanum with small owner's sticker on front pastedown, annotated bookplate of Anne C. Morrel on verso of front free endpaper, and additional "M" ink stamp on facing page. Boards rubbed at extremities, small corner bumps, creases to spines, gilt edges rubbed; occasional foxing and light soiling, few holograph pencil notes, image offset on text pages from illustrations, some tears, cellophane tape repairs; otherwise in very good condition.
