Linen-backed folding map frontispiece and sixteen additional plates, all after Latrobe, twelve of which are colored aquatints and four black-and-white engraved panoramas. Modern full blue cloth library binding; spine lettered in gilt. All edges trimmed, top and bottom stamped "York Public Library." Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; mild rubbing to boards. Text block edges heavily trimmed, removing parts of some annotations. Normal marginal toning throughout, with considerable splashing, spot-staining and thumb-soiling throughout; numerous archival repairs of short tears at page and plate edges. Lacking pages 227-230. Ex-library with several inked library ownership stamps and embossed seals throughout text block. About very good.
