FIRST EDITION. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the front free endpaper: "C. S. Lewis."

Condition: A few bumps to cloth; corners just rubbed. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "7s. 6d. net"), minor edgewear; a few scuffs to rear panel; small (19 mm) tear to lower panel through "U" in "University"; small puncture to rear spine fold; minor finger-soiling.
