Brothers Publishers, 1895.Large 8vo. Publisher's pictorial brown cloth, lettered in gilt. With 70 illustrations by the author, comprising the frontispiece, photogravure plates, and in-text illustrations. Custom quarter brown morocco folding case.
FIRST EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR TO HIS COUSIN on the front free endpaper: "To our old maid cousin / from / Eva and Fred / Xmas. 1895."
Condition: Spine sunned, edgewear to cloth, a few scuffs to front board. Hinges starting, but holding.
