The Acting Edition for the Festival of the Friends of Canterbury Cathedral, printed for the first production of the play at Canterbury, 10-17 June 1939. Minor soiling, otherwise fine. Gilbert A31a.

INSCRIBED on the inside front cover: "With greetings from England & / Dorothy L. Sayers." Very minor rubbing along spine, else wrappers fine; minor rust stains on title from paper clip previously holding the accompanying letter. Gilbert A36. With a typed letter signed from Sayers to psychologist Saul Rosenzweig, 5 February 1941, responding to an enquiry seeking access to her papers regarding Wilkie Collins and his friendship with Edward Lear: "I am afraid all my material about Wilkie Collins is at present buried in the vaults of my Bank for protection against enemy action!" One page, 4to, with original envelope.
