DELUXE EDITION, number 491 of 1,000 copies for Great Britain, Ireland and Colonies, SIGNED BY RACKHAM. This German Romantic fairy tale inspired Hans Christian Andersen's even more famous The Little Mermaid, "... a masterpiece of sympathetic understanding" (Hudson, p 80).
Condition: Slight bump at head of spine; slightest soiling, otherwise extremely fine and bright.
