One of ten limited deluxe publisher's bindings, given to the author for his use. Quarto. [viii], [2], 228 pages. Colorized photographic frontispiece (with tissue guard) and over 100 black and white photographic plates after the author, in-text illustrations by Frank E. Phares. Publisher's half red morocco over marbled boards, stamped in gilt, spine decorated and lettered in gilt with five raised bands. Corners just bumped and rubbed, spine sunned, a few light abrasions to spine. Marbled endpapers; top edge trimmed and guilt, other edges untrimmed. Internally clean and tight; partially unopened, minor intermittent thumbsoiling, penciled bookseller's notation to the front blank recto, minor text block edgewear with light foxing to edges. Near fine.
