[Samuel Colt]. Unused Check, circa 1850. One page, 7.5" x 3", Hartford. Reading "Phoenix Bank" on the front, "Sam. Colt." printed vertically on the left surrounded by a vine decorated border. Very good. Slight toning on the edges otherwise fine.


More Information: Samuel Colt (1814-1862) was an American businessman, inventor and industrialist who founded the Colt's Patent Fire-Arms Manufacturing Company and first to mass-produce the commercially viable revolver.
