[Texas Rangers]. Roy Wilkinson Aldrich Postcard Photograph, circa 1915. In this 5.5" x 3.5", sepia toned, postcard photograph, Texas Ranger Captain Roy Aldrich is pictured standing next to his horse, armed with a revolver and rifle (in a saddle scabbard), in front of a large cactus. "The Ranger - Tex-Mex Border" at the lower edge. Area of light soiling at the upper left edge.A Spanish-American War veteran, Roy Aldrich (1869-1955), a Company "A" private in this image, was promoted to sergeant in 1917 and captain the next year. He continued serving the Rangers as a captain until 1947, longer than any other Ranger.
