Description
Franklin D. Roosevelt: Archive of Christmas Tree Lighting Programs, White House Christmas Tree Photograph, and Invitation. This archive includes a 1935 Tree Lighting Ceremony invitation measuring 5.75" x 5". Mounted to stiff paper card.Accompanied by a booklet entitled "Instead of a Christmas Carol" which was privately printed by The Oriole Press, 1942. 8" x 5". Stiff paper wraps, sewn binding.
One Christmas concert program from 1937.
And additionally, a White House photograph that includes an original circa 1933 gelatin silver glossy 8" x 10" photograph that features a Christmas tree in the East Room of the White House, prior to the annual party for the staff and their children.
Condition: The Tree Lighting Ceremony invitation has faint vertical creases, and the booklet has faint damp traces at the lower rear cover. The 1937 program has slight toning and a vertical crease.
