Description
Dwight D. Eisenhower: Assorted China Including Brussels World's Fair Plates, Champagne Flutes, and White House Service Plates Two 1958 Brussels World's Fair Castleton service plates measuring 11.5" with the Great Seal of the U.S. The backs of the two Fair plates read "Castleton Studios/ For The/ United States Commissioner General/ Brussels World's Fair, 1958." Include two World's Fair champagne flutes bearing designs from the "58" Fair that have the marks of "Val St. Lambert" on the undersides of the bases and measure 2.125" x 7.25".Includes two 1955 Castleton White House service plates measuring 11.5" with the Presidential Seal. The backs of the plates read, "Castleton Studios/ The White House/ November 1955."
Condition: One of the service plates has a couple of marks on the seal at the center, with a few dark marks on the back, possibly marker. Expected light scratching and wear are throughout the plates. The flutes have identifiers written in marker on the undersides of the bases. Very light scratching is present, with light accretions present at the bottommost portion of the glass bowls.
